Join us Sunday October 5, at 5pm at the Niles Union Cemetery to hear the history of past area residents featuring Wendell Lauth who will lead you on a walk around their final resting places!

No registration is required for this free program.

Civil War 150th Anniversary Program

The Library and the National McKinley Birthplace Memorial are hosting an event on Saturday, October 11th from 12:00pm - 5:00pm inside the McKinley Memorial Auditorium.  There will be guest speakers from the Ohio Volunteer Infantry and Ohio Light Artillery. In addition, there will be a special display of artifacts by the Ohio Historical Society.

Fall Book Sale


The Friends of the Library Fall Book Sale will be held Friday, October 3rd through Sunday, October 5th at The McKinley Memorial Auditorium. A special preview for Friends of the Library will be Thursday, October 2nd. More information to come.

Library Open House

Why is McKinley Memorial a Wise Choice? We invite you to come to our Open House on Saturday October 11th from 10 am - 4 pm to receive information regarding the 1.75 mill operating levy that will be on the November 4, 2014 ballot.

Tours of the Library will be given and you will be able to see parts of the library that are normally not available for the public to see. Demonstrations will be held on how to download e-books, movies, magazines and music, as well as on how to use various electronic databases that the library subscribes to. There will be a craft for children in the Children's room.

Looking for information from an old issue of the Niles Times, or information about an ancestor from Niles?

The McKinley Memorial Library offers Niles Newspapers dating from September 1908 – December 2011 for Online viewing.

No Library Card is required. This service is FREE and available to all.
