Civil War Battlefield Tour


Destination: Gettysburg, PA

October 24-26, 2014

Join the Friends of McKinley Memorial Library and the McKinley Memorial Library for a memorable weekend as they journey to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania from October 24 to October 26, 2014, to tour the Historic Civil War Battlefield.

Visit Downtown Gettysburg, historic buildings like the Jenny Wade Home, dine in an historic restaurant, visit the Visitor's Center, and walk the fields where Civil War Soldiers fought and died.

Local Civil War historian Stephen Papalas will be leading this interesting and dynamic tour.

Job Position Available for Part-time Librarian

McKinley Memorial Library is seeking two part-time Public Services Librarian each working twenty hours per week. Hours of work will include evenings and Saturdays.

A Bachelor's degree is required and previous experience working in a library is preferred.

Starting salary is $11.50 per hour.

Lawn Concerts - Summer 2014

McKinley Memorial Library Concerts are from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.notes

Concerts will be held indoors if weather is inclement.

Sponsored by Farmers National Bank, First Place Bank Community Foundation, the Friends of the Library and The Bauman Estate.

*The Friends of the Library Summer Lawn Picnic will be on July 10th. Mark your calendar & plan on joining us on the lawn for music, food, giveaways and fun!
