Cemetery Walk

 

McKinley Memorial Library will be sponsoring the ever popular walking tour of the Niles Union Cemetery on Sunday October 4th at 5:00 p.m. Local historian, Wendell Lauth, will be conducting the walking tour.  Some of the highlights will include learning about the President's sister and grandmother, famous Niles people, including the inventor of the baseball score card and the notorious Niles Christmas murderer and victims, all of whom are buried in the cemetery.  Please meet at the Cemetery Chapel off of the Niles Cortland Road entrance of the cemetery, wear comfortable shoes, and bring a flashlight.

The McKinley Birthplace Home will be open for free tours

to the public on Saturday, September 5th from 10am to 4pm. The Home will be closed on September 7th.

The Friends of the McKinley Memorial Library will be holding their Annual Fall Book Sale in the Auditorium the following dates:

Thursday, October 8th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Friday, October 9th from  10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Saturday, October 10th from 10:00 a.m. -  3:00 p.m.

Sunday, October 11th from  1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

A special preview for Friends of the Library will be on Wednesday, October 7th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
